Description

This beautiful pair of vintage, handmade tribal bangles originates from Rajasthan, India, and dates back to the mid-20th century. Commonly known as Rajasthan Tribal Locking Cuffs or Banjara Ghungroo Bangles, this distinctive style features an openwork geometric cut-out design and a hinged body. The cuff is secured by a removable locking pin, which is elegantly adorned with a cascade of dangling charms and ghungroos (small metal beads). Historically crafted and worn by the nomadic Banjara and tribal communities of Northern India, these vintage pieces remain in excellent functional condition. While they are completely wearable, we recommend handling and wearing them with a degree of caution due to their age.

The dimensions are as follows: H: 1.5cm - W: 6.5cm - L: 6cm
