Description
Here is a stunning selection of vintage Indian 25 Paise coins crafted from durable copper-nickel. Each piece has been thoughtfully modified with a soldered metal bail, allowing it to be easily attached to clothing or used as a jewellery charm. Historically, these bails allowed the coins to be sewn directly onto vests, dresses, and heavy belts as traditional adornments—serving as vibrant displays of wealth, status, or spiritual protection.
The obverse side of each coin beautifully features the Lion Capital of Ashoka, India's national emblem. This striking relief design depicts three lions standing back-to-back atop a circular abacus, with a fourth lion hidden from view. Flanking this central emblem, the inscription reads "Bharat" in Hindi on the left and "INDIA" in English on the right. Today, these unique historical artifacts are perfect for creating beautiful pendant necklaces or returning to their original heritage as textile adornments.
