Here is a stunning selection of vintage Indian 2 Naye Paise coins dating from 1957 to 1964. Each piece features a small, historically added metal loop. These modifications allowed the coins to be sewn directly onto vests, dresses, or heavy belts, serving as traditional adornments designed to display wealth, status, or spiritual protection.
The obverse side of each coin features the Lion Capital of Ashoka, the official national emblem of India. This striking design depicts three lions standing back-to-back atop a circular abacus with a wheel shown in relief, while a fourth lion remains hidden from view at the rear. Flanking this central emblem, the word "Bharat" is inscribed in Hindi script on the left, with "INDIA" written in English on the right. Today, these unique historical pieces are perfect for creating beautiful pendant necklaces or returning to their original purpose to adorn clothing.
Please note that once purchased a piece will be picked at random so dates may vary.
The dimensions are as follows: H: 2.2cm - L: 1.7cm W: 1.7cm
