Description
This stunning, vintage Romanian creamer jug dates back to the mid-20th century. Crafted from terracotta, the wheel-thrown piece features a rounded lower body that tapers gently into a straight collar, finished with a distinct pouring lip and a sturdy, hand-pulled loop handle. Its rich, warm reddish-brown clay tone is beautifully adorned with abstract floral folk art. To frame the design, concentric bands of cream-coloured slip were applied to the upper collar and lower body while the vessel spun on the potter's wheel. Whether paired with a modern espresso machine or utilised as a unique utensil holder, this dainty vintage jug adds a touch of rustic charm to any contemporary home.
