Description

Here we have a beautiful, vintage Eastern European Troyan pottery jug dating back to the mid-20th century. Handcrafted and hand-painted by artisans in the Troyan region of Bulgaria, it features the historic Troyan "drop-glaze" pattern. This distinctive look is achieved through a traditional slipware technique: concentric bands of coloured ceramic slip are applied to the wet clay and swirled vertically to create the iconic dripping finish. Crafted from terracotta, the piece showcases earthy, natural tones across a bulbous lower body that tapers gently into a slightly flared rim and a small, integrated pouring lip. This stunning vessel would complement any modern home, whether repurposed as a flower vase or displayed as an eye-catching kitchen accent.

The dimensions are as follows: H: 10.5cm - W: 11.5cm - L: 9cm
