This Late 19th century Japanese tea picking basket was handmade from bamboo and it has two straps that would have been used by Japanese tea pickers, to carry the basket. Shizuoka is on the Pacific coast in Japan and that is where majority of people would have used these baskets to pick tea.
Now, it could make a beautiful laundry basket for your home, or a unique storage space!
