Description

A beautiful bench from the late Qing dynasty. This bench originated in the late 19th century, and is made from elm with good patination and original lacquer. It has double sidebars and fluted legs with a curvy scroll-like apron which truly outlines the beauty of this bench. Given its age, it is in great condition.

Such benches were frequently used in public places such as restaurants but also in homes. In a modern setting, they would still be marvellous around a kitchen table or in a hall or conservatory.

The dimensions of this Bench are as follows: H - 46cm, W - 102cm, D - 28cm at base, 15cm on seat.
