Late 19th Century Ball of Japanese Horse Reigns

This interesting piece is a ball of vintage Japanese horse reigns. Originating within the Meiji period, this piece showcases handwoven bits of scrap fabric wrapped around a Hessian rope. They show a range of colours from blue, red and white. Nowadays, this ball would make a perfectly unique art piece; an easy talking point in any modern home.
