Stunning late 18th Century wooden bowl from the Yunnan area in Southwest China. This wooden bowl is huge, and hand carved from one piece of wood. This piece is stunning and emits so much history, you can see all the old chopping marks! Its almost perfectly round with two indented handles at each side - its a fabulous example of one of these bowls.
They were traditionally used as food preparation bowls, as well as to serve food in. Nowadays they would be a welcome piece in any home, as wall decoration or fruit bowl etc.
