Stunning late 18th Century wooden bowl from the Yunnan area in Southwest China. This wooden bowl is a gorgeous example of one of these bowls. Its large and made from one solid piece of wood. It has ancient insect wear and tear which only adds to its charm. The wonderful thing about this bowl is its got two indented handles on either side.
They were traditionally used as food preparation bowls, as well as to serve food in. Nowadays they would be a welcome piece in any home, as wall decoration or fruit bowl etc.
