This stunning piece originated in Rajasthan within the late 19th century. This grinder table, known as a chakki, would have had a grinding wheel in the centre which then would have been used to grind rice. It is handmade from teak and holds all of its original metalwork. It has 4 legs and a circular base, with a hole in the middle as to let the ground rice fall through. This table has lovely hand-carved detailing throughout as well.
Nowadays, this chakki would make a fabulous pet bed or a unique storage space.
