Description

Here we have a vintage original, framed lithograph print of Bal Gangadhar Tilak, dating back to the early 1920's. This lithograph depicts the Indian independence activist Bal Gangadhar Tilak who British colonial authorities famously referred to him as the "Father of the Indian Unrest" due to his revolutionary methods and ability to mobilize the masses against colonial rule. The portrait is a colour lithograph print, a lithograph is a type of print made by drawing an image on a flat stone or metal plate with greasy materials, the transferring it to paper sing natural repulsion of oil and water. This beautiful portrait has been fitted with a black frame with gold detailing, adding a modern touch to a vintage piece.
