This 1850's Chinese bench is very typical of the late Qing Dynasty, it would have been used in a public place such as a temple or theatre.
The bench is made from a mixture of elm and cedar; the red lacquered legs are slightly splayed with beautiful carved detail at the top, and straight double stretchers on each end.
It will look amazing in a hallway!
The dimensions of this bench are as follows- H - 49cm, L - 178cm, W - 35cm.
