This beautiful, mid-20th-century vertical sign features three large, hand-carved and hand-painted kanji characters reading "Kyo-Yuzen"—a traditional silk-dyeing technique synonymous with fine kimonos. Crafted from native Japanese zelkova wood during the Showa period, a prominent signboard like this would have originally identified an upscale textile business, traditional drapery, or artisan dyeing studio. Today, this vintage piece serves as an excellent interior accent, bringing history, rich texture, and a touch of rustic Wabi-Sabi minimalism to any modern space.
