Description

Here we have a beautiful, vintage Japanese tea box/chest (Chabako) dating back to the mid 20th century. This chest features a rustic , industrial design by blending natural cedar wood with historic graphic labels. Historically, these boxes are lined with zinc, tin or aluminium foil to keep moisture out to preserve the tea during transport. The front panel features a large, stylized yellow tea jar wrapped with a red decorative ribbon with white tea blossom and green leaves framing. This tea chest would compliment any modern home particularly reproposed as a side table or storage box. 

The dimensions are as follows: H: 32.5cm - W: 29cm - L: 42.5cm
