Indian Bajot tables are usually made out of teak wood, square, low and sturdy. They were, and still are, used as floor dining tables, serving tables and to house spiritual offerings. The age of these tables are Early 20th Century, they have aged with the most perfect imperfections, brilliant patina.
This particular Bajot table has a large amount of the original patterned paintwork over the top and the sides of the apron. As of all of these wonderful Bajot tables this example does show it's age as it would have been repaired overtime. This is a wonderful example of an piece of Indian handmade history.
In the Western modern home they will make a great side table, or a plant table.
