This beautiful polychromed kantha quilt originates from India in the early 20th century. As it is embroidered with the Kantha style, there are multiple layers of fabric that can be seen. This gives it the multicoloured pattern that is showcased. This specific quilt has a lovely variety of colours including blue, pink and purple.
Originally it was used as a blanket or clothing, Nowadays however, it can be used as wall art; adding a soft, oriental feel to your home.
