Description

This stunning piece of textile originated in Japan in the early Showa period. Originally, this indigo-dyed piece was used as a furoshiki, and due to its age and use, cotton patches varying in size and colour have been hand-stitched on. This truly showcases the Japanese art of repair and reuse. On the other side, the inscription suggests a shop name written in tsutsugaki. This boro would make a fantastic addition to any modern home!

Measurements are as follows: 111 x 103 cm.
