Description

This lovely furoshiki wrapping cloth originated in Japan within the Taisho period. It has been saffron dyed and the main text translates to: 'Book Store', which would be where it was originally used. The red text translates to 'Lucky'. It would have been used to wrap and protect books that were bought.  Nowadays however, it would make an interesting art decor piece for any modern home. 

The dimensions are as follows: H - 141.5cm, W - 129cm.
