This lovely piece originated in China within the late 19th century. Despite its age, it still retains and beautifully showcases its original lacquer, which is a stunning vibrant red colour. This bowl also holds all of its original brass bands, whose colours align richly with the red. It stands on four small legs and would have originally been used as a wash basin, to keep domestic items clean.
Nowadays however, this Chinese bowl would make a fantastic planter or blanket store!
