Description

This phenomenal piece of boro originated in Japan, and is composed of cotton pieces dating from the Meiji to Showa periods. One side of this boro showcases multiple patches of checked, plain and striped indigo-dyed cotton, encapsulating the traditional Japanese art of repair and reuse. The other side features flowing wave motifs, created through the use of a Chugata katazome panel. The quality of this piece is undeniable, therefore it would make an easy statement piece in any contemporary home.
