This stunning Chinese flower basket is a perfect example of the handmade craftsmanship that is found in China. It is made from a mixture of elm, ratan, and different elements of metalwork. Originated in the 1950s and after decades of use, the inside of the basket has acquired a beautiful pale white colour. This basket would have been used to collect flowers especially, but also used to collect other resources and domestic items.
Nowadays it can be used as a rustic log basket or a child's toy box.
The dimensions of this basket are as follows: H - 29cm, W - 52cm, D - 28.5cm.
