✨Mid 19th Century Camphor Lined Chinese Trunk✨

This is a perfect example of a top quality antique Chinese trunk. This specific trunk originated in Tianjin, North China. The outside layer is made from rosewood which gives it that lovely dark colour. The interior is camphor lined and this smells amazing and deters insects. The dove tail joints and original brass handles and lock really tie this piece together. 

Originally, this trunk would have been used to store personal items whilst travelling in China. Nowadays however, it can be used as a storage space within the home, adding a oriental and rustic feel to your home.

🥡Late 19th Century Chinese Wine Table From Shanxi🥡

This gorgeous Chinese wine table is from the 1880s and is made out of elm. It has kept its originality through the traces of red lacquer on the top and the blacksmith made handles. It has intricate hand carvings on the front of the drawers, emphasising the uniqueness of this piece.

In the traditional Chinese home, this wine table was originally used for entertaining guests with wine on arrival, and it was typically placed with a chair on each side. The two drawers provide ample storage space for wine glasses, bottle openers, and other essentials for entertaining.
