New Spring tide and rock pools.Has been framed in the highest quality floating matt white frame. This simple frame really shows off the bright colours of this artwork.
We visit Anglesey as often as we can. My preferred season is Easter because of the light - it’s sharp and distinct. Light, space and air can be felt in this low tide painting overlooking the Menai Strait from the rocky shoreline at Rhoscolyln. In the distance are the dark peaks of North Wales. The rock pools in the painting act like stepping stones between the mossy craggy rocks reflecting the scudding clouds above.
Painted en plein air using acrylic ink, gouache and soft pastel combinations.
